prawning with cell group
it was a great time spent with n109w365:) seems like the cell group people are getting more enthusiastic about organising outings nowadays, especially with people like Calvin Zhijian who ought to be given the official roles of cg event managers.
really enjoy such outings cause it's a time to bond and grow closer to the cg. many a time, we only see each other during cell group sessions and service and the relationship ends there, there's no real friendship forged except for a particular few. so it's heartwarming to see our cg ppl coming together as a family in Christ, laughing over games and simply having a good time over activities. i think there's a better synergy in our cell group now more than ever and i'm excited for the many more activites planned.

we headed down to astons steakhouse for lunch and the guys were all engrossed in the iphone game apps. some table hockey application and cube runner app.
quite fun actually except for cube runner(!!)...couldn't get past a score of 33 (high score was 256). they said i have psychomotor problem :( not the first time someone said that...i must be really terrible at coordination.
greedy lilian hogging over 6 plates of food
Zhijian and Daniel were teasing me about my prawning outfit. said i was wearing too atas for a prawning trip :S (this was my virgin prawning trip, how would i have known how to dress for it!)
"You need servants to help fan ya and keep ya cool?" Dan &Zhijian
"Yar, you guys can be my servants then" ;)
and Lilian volunteered to be my water girl, haha.
my servants frantically fanning away...
and my water girl to fetch me my bottle of water. haha.
cherie...guess how old is she?
she's looks really mature for her age!
12 years old.
no kidding.
i'm exactly twice her age!
my gosh, i felt really old all of a sudden.
she's really sweet and chatty, always offering me water/potato chips while we were prawning. and she talks like non-stop radio, lol, very energetic and boisterous. a wonderful lil' sister in Christ :)
finally caught my first prawn...and well, it also happens to be the only prawn i caught that night. :S
pardon the pained expression, was freaking out initially but towards the end of the day, i was enjoying the sadistic act of plucking out their claws.
i'm terrible, i know.
Daniel with his first catch of the day too
Calvin strangely looks like a prawn here, haha
Lilian with her first and only catch of the day too :) not that we're lousy, we just chose to let the rest use the fishing rod longer. :p
yay! posing with our catch for the day!
and this was what became of it!
CEREAL PRAWNS.
yums. haha.
there! i'm occupied with my new found hobby - plucking live prawns :P
----------------
have been working late nights this past few days...but strangely, i actually kinda enjoy it cause there's this rush of adrenaline to complete the job at hand and the sense of accomplishment that comes once i've handed in the piece of work is something money can't buy (well...k, not really, lol).
anyway, that is not the point...today we received a rather strange newsflash in office...
it cracked me up...nearly teared from it...realised i laugh at anything nowadays (maybe it's an indication of how bored i am at work).
the heading of the newsflash was...
"Julie (our resident company counsellor), i'm falling in love!"
basically, it was about this employee who wrote in to Julie asking for advice on what she should do cause one of her male colleagues was being very nice to her and she was falling for him. Hence, she wanted to seek advice on what she should do in this type of office relationship, should she pursue it or not?
LOL.
this is mean but i couldn't control myself, who in the world would write a letter like that to a counsellor in her own firm -_-" and you know how people want to keep their anonymity in this sorta situation...this lady named herself "confused"...
we were guessing that Julie probably wrote it to herself. haha.
