The Garden @ Bukit Manis Road
fine dining @ a restaurant tucked in the dark, elusive corners of Sentosa.
it took a while of getting lost before we managed to scour out this tiny little abode.
the cosy restaurant was completely empty on a friday night and we were the only souls around, save for the chefs & restaurant staff.
this week was Singapore restaurant week hence we decided to try out some atas dining at discounted prices.
Our menu was a 3 course dinner @ a cheap price of S$35.
1. Pumpkin soup - 2/5 (very weird tasting)
2. Salmon cooked in water at 70D.C. and served on a rissotto base drenched in chicken broth - 2.5/5 ( i still like my salmon raw/or drenched in teriyaki sauce/or plain grilled....this salmon just tasted like its bee soaked too long in water that it's lost it's taste)
3. Grilled watermelon with greek yogurt and pistachio - 3.5/5 (the only redeeming factor of the entire meal, this dessert was especially unique and i especially loved the yogurt on top, what a unique yet zeisty taste to it! i loved the way the watermelon had a burnt taste to it cause it blended in well with the dish. So yup, all in all. Only the dessert was worth the money.)
Maybe i'm just not so much into fine dining...gosh, we felt so hungry after, we chowed down a basket of criss cross fries fro cafe del mar!

Cafe Del Mar
After we took off from dinner, we met 2 crazily drunk korean ladies! boy, it was quite a hilarious scene, one of them was so drunk she started spouting nonsense and hugged poor Addy, making several attempts to kiss her. lol. And the 2 ladies drank so much they missed their plane back to Korea! We helped them to the taxi stand while WP got them a cab. It was quite a funny scene though.
We then hung out at CDM till wee hours in the morning. And i ended up with 2 drunk ppl by the end of the night, haha. All thanks to someone who ordered a bottle of white wine costing 90bucks! faints! i stuck to my virgin margarita (non-alcoholic), only attempting to drink several mouthfuls of white wine when we played "cai quan". I rule at that game ;) saved me from getting drunk!
