tried to photoshop off vick's and my eyebags... but now i just look weird with slitty eyes worthy of harry potter slytherin :S and vicks just looks even more awesome...life is just unfair :(

cause i had sore eye...i wore my shades practically everywhere...got weird stares from the locals...they probably thought i was some hong kong superstar, haha.

we stayed at The Cityview Hotel. very easily accessible. and i'd give it 5/5 popcorns for the v useful airport shuttle service!

the egg tarts were really really good.

and trust me, that is an understatement.

vicks brought us to the prada outlet at marina square east market (gotta take bus 590 from the bus terminal at Central Station)

she went crazy shopping there - bought 2 prada bags each costing close to 1000sgd!

i bought my bro's 21st birthday gift from there as well. a prada wallet. literally felt my heart break when i gave away the money to the cashier.

i am not exactly the most thrifty person around (in fact i do spend a lot on shopping) but when it comes to huge splurges like this, i really hafta think a whole lot. maybe that is why i haven't joined the bandwagon of ppl who think nothing of spending thousands of dollars on branded bags.

i won't be a hypocrite and say that i don't want one. of course i want a branded bag, what girl would i be if i wasn't enticed by the LVs,Hermes, Chanel, Guccis....

 but unfortunately or fortunately depending on how i like to look at it, i'm too selfish to give away my money.

and so the only bag i have that comes close to being branded is a CK bag which was a gift from my friends.

that being said, i am still aiming to save allll my money for that 1 big splurge....maybe in 3, 4 years time....

and it sure proved itself.

everything from the food, the service, the layout was just top grade.

the waiter/waitress would constantly replace our teapots to ensure that the tea we drink is hot.

their award winning dish...some truffle minced meat cum pumpkin dish.

it was seriously good, i have never tasted such a dish before and even though the meat is minced, you can't tell cause it feels like one piece when you chew onto it. tender with the delicious truffle seasoning.

i am salivating at the thought of it already.

vicks wanted to go to a temple to pray so i accompanied her and became a tourist for a day by taking pics of every single corner of the temple. lol.

this month will be a whirlwind for me cause i'm flying off to Nepal just a week after i get back :S gotta pray for journey's mercy and lotsa, lotsa strength and good health!

CHC @ Suntec City

many times during arise and build and when the church was being blasted by the media for improper use of funds, i did have my doubts and found myself questioning the direction/intention of the church...

but when i stood in Suntec City, i realised that we've really come a long way...

for me, that's 7 years ago when i first joined them at the JW venue.

you know, above everything else, i believe that it's been my home for so long, where i found God, where i found sincere people who eventually became my good friends.

it's like a marriage...

i ask myself, what would i be w/o this church?

i realised i can't see myself not attending church, not praising and worshipping God every sunday mornings, not attending cell group. it's become part of me. and i'd be a lost sheep without this home of God.

and so... even though some times i admit i do still question the values of the church, i choose to continue loving it because it's my second home and because i truly believe that there has to be a great love for God to have built this house from just a handful of ppl to where it is now.
