Shape Run - 24 July 2011
Nett time: 1hr 07mins
it was really a breakthrough for me!
from a girl who hated running, barely passed every 2.4km runs back in secondary, jc days to where i am now! super running nymph, lol. kidding. far from it.
ranking 751 out of possibly 3000 particpants is not exactly an achievement. >.<
but it's good enough for me!
feel inspired to run 21 km now.
posing with our medals!
i think i'm gloating too much on this. but it feels good to be the "fastest" Sandra in the race. haha. and mind you, there weren't just 2 or 3 "Sandras", there were....ahem....*drumroll*...
6 (for the 10km category)!
haha. okay. feel rather stupid now that i think about it.
oh well, purely for humour sake.

Jo's virgin performance @ timbre substation
so proud of her!
my ex-roomie won a timbre music academy contest and got to hold a 30min solo act at Timbre.
she sang a total of 4 cover songs and 2 originals.
all of which were really good.
"just the way you are", "my girl", "lazy song",etc.
all my current fave songs! :)
if only i was good at the guitar too! i've always secretly dreamt of becoming a singer-songwriter (think Fiona Apple, Michelle Branch, Liz Phair, A Fine Frenzy, Priscilla Ahn)!
with my JC peeps, Jo, Yan Ping & Sarah :)
this buncha gals are by far my most independent, gung-ho group of gfs, anything that involves risking your life, i would know who to call....lol.
Pretty hall mates, Lynette & Yanni.

Farewell celebration for the interns
Jiaxin and i
One thing i like about working for my firm is that it constantly takes in fresh new faces. It's good to see more young people joining the firm. The office always seem more vibrant and fun with the interns and juniors around. Somehow it seems that the longer people work, energy just gets zapped out of them and people just become a bit more lethargic, a bit less talkative, a bit more serious....
rawr. i MUST NOT succumb to the the evils of work.
