HONJIN BUFFET

I AM DARN FULL.

MY STOMACH IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE.

just went for Honjin buffet with KH.

it was a 1-for-1 ala carte buffet at about $48+++ per person. (if you have a UOB card)

very worth it i think for all the sashimi you get to eat. sake(salmon),hamachi(yellow tail), maguro(tuna), cuttlefish, octopus! And they all come in thick slabs *licks lips*

if there's one thing i could survive on, it'd be salmon. period. raw, grilled, steamed, baked, name it, i'll eat it.

just to be annoying, i'm gonna name all the dishes i ate, just to keep count of how many calories i put on today and how many days of starvation i have to go through to lose all of it. lol.

tako yaki, shishamo,sake ssm, hamachi ssm, maguro ssm, tempura prawn, soft shell crab, yakimono mushrooms (2 plates, not because it was yummy but because the waitress served us a wrong order), chawanmushi, zaru soba, garlic beef, sake shio, corn potong ice cream, vanilla ice cream, watermelon...

hmm, it seems so lil' after naming them...lol. don't feel the pressure to starve already. wth.

there was a funny incident where this male waiter ended up apologising to us. super funny. all thanks to KH.

anyway, if any of you are interested in a good sashimi and general jap food buffet, you can consider going here. it's at chow house at robinson road, in the midst of all the concrete jungle. parking was such a chore.

but definitely very good atmosphere, with all the kimono clad waitresses. and authentic jap setting.

anyway, enough about food. KH was telling me about his wedding pictures and some of the preparations, arh! so nice to hear of weddings and how they went to nice scenic places to take their wedding photos! makes me feel like getting married too, just so i can take wedding shots and wear a wedding gown....

Hai, as i hear more and more news of people getting married, there's that slightest bit of desire to find the "right one" to get married and settle down with too. but how do you know who's the "right one"? but more importantly, what happens after that?? What happens after marriage?...what happens when all love dies out... when the sight of your partner just annoys you so much you wanna get out of the house to take a breath of fresh air...what happens when your whole life revolves around you and your family that one day when the family breaks, you have no one else.... everytime i think of marriage i think of these. and it becomes this v scary thing to me.

Ironically, i still like to look at wedding pics though. :)

bad sleeping habits

i've been having bad sleeping habits lately.

it's 5.44am in the morning.

i can't sleep.

got up at 3am. read a book and tossed and turned in bed. eventually got up.

i slept as soon as i got home and now i'm wide awake.

argh.

what's wrong with me.

and now it's raining crazily outside. the dustbin just flew into the swimming pool again i think. they reallly should do something about it. chain the dustbin to the pillar or something. at this rate, the pool's gonna turn into a reservoir of rubbish.

oh well.

that being said, it was nice hanging out with jess & elaine yesterday.

spent the longest time in daiso, the best jap store in singapore selling all sorta lil' randoms, tempting people to buy every single thing in store because they are so nauseatingly cheap($2).

my legs are sore from all the walking.

blu jaz

went to blu jaz to chill out today. watched the live jazz band which consisted of abt 10members? the largest band i've seen playing in a pub setting. it was a good place to chill and the food was cheap for the quality served. the food were al nicely decorated, like i just stepped into some fine dining eatery.

i love live bands.

on a second note, Farrah was telling me all about Supper Club, which is this uber cool dining place(at odeon towers) which has such a fantastic kooky theme and features good music and a weird buncha staffs. apparantly there's a drag queen waiter, an overly pierced, amy winehouse-ish inspired waitress and lotsa weird personalities there. Now how cool is that! she says you can't be normal if you wanna work there...sounds so interesting. and the food they had the previous time they were there....chocolate cake in an ash tray!

wow.

had a good time today with the girls :) the only regret is that i didn't manage to join my hall mates for dinner today though cause i haven't met them in ages! and they organised a trip to pulau ubin trip(i have never been there b4, how kuku can i get?) but it's gonna be when i'm in europe! sobs.

oh well, looking forward to the rest of the week though!

plane watching

my car!! volkswaagen! muhaha....

we were absorbing the skyline and watching the planes depart to a place far, far away. arh! how it would feel like to step on a plane again :)

these were lazy days and one of the few times i took pictures during exam period.

we lazed around and went to check out the gorgeous crown plaza hotel beside T3. one of the best hotels in singapore, other than fullerton of course. Fullerton's my dream hotel to get married in! but then again,i'd probaby hafta marry a prince in order to afford that...lol.

went to watch x-men: wolverine with the cg peeps today, our zone booked the entire cinema (4 movie theatres!!) and it was packed to the brim! it was fantastic! the movie was great, one of the best i've seen this year. Go catch it if you haven't :)

i'm feeling like some movie buff these days, watching movies like nobody's business...

better find other interesting things to do instead.

went shopping around with char & dan today, hang out at starbucks & took my first polaroid pic! (i got the fujifilm instax cam that i wanted already! yay!) europe trip will be filled with polaroids pictures, which unfortunatelly cannot be uploaded because my scanner isn't working :( but i'll try to upload soon!

the last run is over

finally exams have ended. the final paper of my entire 17 years of studies. i'm like overwhelmed by a bundle of mixed, convoluted feelings. excitement, sadness, regret, joy & anticipation.

did loads, watched 17 again with A, hung out at my friend's place in wee hrs of the night, went for suppers, met estelle & wp for sushi tei today & had seafood feast to celebrate my daddy's birthday! there's so many things to do, but i can't seem to muster the energy to do it...i feel like an old woman, i can't even bring myself to blog. cause i'm too damn lazy. i can't wait to go for my grad trip!

take me away now. i want the glowing sun. iridescent turqoise sea & sky. and a hammock to lie in forever.

p.s. i'm thinking of getting a fujifilm instax so i can take polaroids like nobody's business
