i'm back in action

whoa. haven't been blogging fr the longest time. i'd be surprise if anyone still reads my blog. lol.
anyway, it's definitely been a hectic month for me. what with work, meeting friends & the yada yada.

work has been great so far, colleagues have been awesome. we went to timbre recently and we also celebrated HJ's birthday. though there's one of my friend who's thinking of transferring to another department already, and it's ben barely a month :S i guess if you don't feel suited for a job, it's best to leave soon. but a month seems kinda fast...

my team had a new joiners/promoted staff dinner at Harry's where i got thoroughly wasted. after...1 pathetic pint of beer! my gosh. it was definitely embarrassing to say the least. we were quizzed on the company and i could barely answer the question cause my head was spinning and my vision was blurred. puked like 3 times that night, even a senior colleague was worried about me after he saw me puking outside the toilet. by the end of the night, after we left, HJ was like "Sandra, stop puking already!" lol.

i met up with a couple of friends recently, but one of the more special ones was with my choir mates, SQ & HP. it has been 6 years since i've seen them!!! can you imagine how i excited i was about meeting up! SQ was my senior back in secondary school, we have one common characteristic, guess what?? We're both small-eyed! so nice to now someone who has small eyes like mine too! someone who understands the pain of having to listen to repeatitive questions of "is your field of vision smaller? can you see that thing on your left/right?" HP, on the other hand, has BIG eyes & she was my fellow school mate of the same level. She's now teaching at kumon & taking so many additional enrichment classes. It's inspiring to see people so self-motivated.

We had dinner at Ashton's(i always thought it was some ATAS restaurant, but it turned out dirt cheap...apparantly the expensive one is Ashton Prime). It was wonderful meeting up with thes girls again!

HP, me & SQ!

Recently, caught "The Proposal" with A and it was hilarious. absolutely funny to the core. i love Sandra Bullock to bits. her movies are the funniest. period. sometimes, nothing beats feel good chick flicks. so far, i've watched quite a lot of movies, most of thm biographic or more of the indie kinda shows such as "coco chanel", "nick & norah's infinite playlist", "the grey gardens", etc. so it's nice to watch something that's more mainstream. and today, i caught "UP!" with lilian, myrna & gabriel. it was really touching & i understand why some people tear from this animatd flick. initially, i was like "what?! it's a cartoon, how can you cry from a cartoon?!" but now i understand, it's so sweet & the r/s between carl & the neckless boy is endearing :)
