AVATAR - BEST ANIMATION EVER

everyone, please go watch this movie.

it is worth every 2hr 45mins of it and every 13bucks i had to fork out for the stunning 3d tech.

it was beyond amazing.

considering i'm not much of an action-packed fanatic, but the visuals in this movie is to die for. what a visual feast!

i've never seen animation & real life human beings blend so well together, they almost look in harmony with each other.

DIM JOY - a tiny gem tucked in the quaint premises of Neil Road
Lilian treated me to dim sum a this little restaurant. it's a short waking distance from Outram MRT and the restaurant was tucked away in a restored shophouse with a traditional facade.
the food was good and we really ate to our hearts content. however, it was a tad pricey.

char siew bao.
har gao. not the best i've tasted. the texture is just not right. and the price? $1 for 1 piece! *faints*

century egg & lean pork congee - $9

quite good even though the porridge is the most watery i've every seen, lol. but the taste was just right and they were generous with the lean pork & century egg.

siew mai.

chee cheong fan in sweet sauce. very unique & savoury :)
ooo. i liked this a lot. the crispy carrot cake. *licks lips*

Thanks lilian for the belated birthday treat :)

True Spa Complimentary Foot Spa
me & addy got complimentary massage/foot spa at true spa.
what a luxury it was.

i had the impression all along that foot spa = foot reflexology.

but this trip to true spa proved how ignorant i was.

foot reflexology is focussed mainly on massage & relieving of aches on the feet & curing of ailments through massage of certain vital points on the sole of the foot.

whereas...

foot spa is like a jaccuzzi for your feet! lol. it's amazing how with modern age, people can come up with all this kinda bullshit to tantalise consumers and make them splurge hundreds of dollars for spraying jets of water on their feet.

after soaking my feet in the weird jaccuzzi type sink, the masseur massaged my feet and then proceeded to soak them in another liquid...

unbeknowst to me, it was hot wax!! omg, i got quite a shock when i felt the heat burning on my feet. yikes.

the liquid was solidified around my feet and they wrapped my feet in a transparent sheet, leaving the wax to work its magic. apparantly, it will help to soften and moistuise your feet or something along these lines.

true enough, my feet was soft like a child when the wax was removed. but it wasn't the nicest feeling cause i kinda like feeling some form of friction on my soles so i don't feel like i'm on the verge slipping in my shoes!
