We celebrate twice for him! First celebration was on friday, we brought him for TIAN TIAN STEAMBOAT! (NOTE: PLEASE DON'T GO THERE! It's not that good, quite bad actually, the ma la soup wasn't fantastic with all the spices floating all about the oily soup, ewww....and the prawns weren't fresh either :S) I would recommend you guys to go to Chongqing Steamboat at Tanglin Shopping Centre instead, that's where my boss treated the us to last friday(will blog about this on a later date, too many backlogs, too little time...)!
Went there together with Myrna, Grace, Gab & I. Myrna bluffed Gabriel that we were going to have bible study and later she very funnily told him that we were gonna have bible study in TIAN TIAN steamboat, *faints*, and as expected, gullible Mr Gabriel took her word for it!! Lolx.
We surprised him and told him the truth later on. And we then feasted! Myrna ate like tons and tons and tons....my tummy was on the verge of an atomic explosion and she could still keep going at the food, lolx. The only good part about tian tian steamboat is probably the crabs and the spareribs and corn soup was quite tasty, but it all pales in comparison to chongqing though. The meal costed about 21?? Can't quite remember. Oh, and after our meal, Myrna even suggested eating durians!! How in the world does she remain so skinny despite her very very enormous appetite is beyond comprehension, lolx. *envies*
Our durians!! It was Gabriel's first time eating durians at the road side, haha, he was like thoroughly shocked that we were gonna just eat durians like that. Oh oh, and the funny thing was when we were bargaining for a cheaper price for the durians, Myrna was like"Uncle, pian yi yi dian la"....then uncle was taken aback and retorted offendly "Ni jiao wo she mo??!" Hurhur.
Aiya, uncle, you really not that young already what....lolx. Myrna then quickly reacted and called him shuai ger instead.
We ate 2 durians and we were utterly full and satisfied! I love durians! We then proceeded down to Raffles Place to bid farewell to our dear Sean, who will left us for Australia to study business! Of course, with Myrna & Sean around, we did what we always do...SHI LIAN PAI....haha, yes, AGAIN....we're never sick of it, this time we even got Gabriel involved, poor Gabriel had to act cute with us, but he managed!
Guess what is Sean holding?? Myrna's ice-cream looking microphone card, lolx. Sean loves singing kbox and err, Myrna likes food, lolx, sooo maybe that's y the microphone ended up looking like an ice cream cone. haha, that's Sean' theory.
The gang at Azaru Sabo! Me, Myrna, dan & Gabriel posing for the caamera!
Second celebration was at church and later at Marina Square's Azaru Soba (or something like that)! We presented Gabriel with Myrna's lab coat and a first aid kit box as present for his birthday at first (he's a medical student you see), silly him, he actually believed that was his present!!! We then presented him his REAL present which is a skinny tie, river island shirt and a belt! Time for extreme makeover Gabriel project 1! Lolx, we forced him to change into the new clothes and take pictures with us! Gabriel, you're gonna be the hippiest doctor in Singapore!
Btw, did i mention i luurve luurve the desserts at the jap restaurant, we ordered 4 different kinds, some muah chee like pancake with peanuts and black sesame paste, red bean paste with mochi and ice cream topping, deep fried sweet potato and mochi & one other dessert which i can't quite remember. All of them were delicious, though it's rather pricey! I wouldn't eat the main dishes there, i'll probably just go there for the lovely desserts!
Me and Myrna in our floral attires at foyer 8!
