we .ahem. attempted to walk the bridge to bukit merah hill but it was a long long walk and we asked 2 girls, who just came from some nearby hill, how long would it take us to get to somewhere, anywhere remotely interesting and without being surronded just by the canopy of trees!
"about an hour walk", they replied.
That did it. we were out of there. seriously, we're like old grandmas at the age of 21.
took a few pictures at hortpark as evidence that we were there. hurhur.and then we were out of there. to somewhere more cooling and sheltered by the treacherous sun.
and we ended up at Colbar!! a cool chill out spot for a mid day's coffee.
(fried bananas with honey and an additional chocolate ice cream top up)
days of nostalgia...when have u last seen a saga tree and saga seeds???
i was absloutely estatic when i saw the lil' ones peeking out from the abundance of greenery.
Look what we found! An old tire swing around the vicinity. it has been such a long time since we've played on one...it's like the old days...when everything was carefree and innocent...
And then there was the lovely artwork outside this cosy lil' abode - PIETRASANTA (THE ITALIAN RESTAURANT)
As we were preparing to head home, we passed by Laurent Bernard and ogled at the lovely chocolate desserts. Our tummies couldn't resist the irresistable temptations any longer so we decided we stil had time for a chocolate tart. what a sinful day filled with all sorts of delectable but calories piled desserts!
The crust was crunchy with hazelnut fillings and the chocolate was not too sweet because they used dark chocolate. It was one of the best chocolate tats i've ever tasted! Bought another chocolate delight home for my parents :) i'm such a filial daughter except i ended eating most of it the very next day, hurhur.
and i also saw vivien, my S.Tei colleague from aeons ago! what a lovely surprise! apparantly she's an avid photographer too and she recommended a whole lotta places to take awesome photographs. i m so excited.
