On Monday, i went down to sean's place for rehearsal for our drama performance this saturday! Man. it was tiring having to jump around. lolx. felt like i went for 2.4km run again. and i HATE 2.4km run. i remember i used to nearly die from lack of oxygen after the run. okay. i'm exaggerating. the rehearsal wasn't THAT tiring, it was quite fun acting actually. the play is really really good (search youtube for "lifehouse's everything skit" for a brief look). i remember the first time i watched the play, i was really impacted by it, there was a mix of emotions - fear, horrid, enlightment and peace. it really depicts well the troubles that people face and how they can separate a person from God. i'm excited for this sat's carnival at o'school! There's gonna be food stalls, plays and workshops?? sounds fun! Then later on Monday night, me and my sis went down to use up the rest of the fire sparklers i bought the previous time :)
Today, which is tuesday, i went for my deloitte interview and i think it went pretty well.i do hope to get an offer! the HR personnels at Deloitte are awesome, they served me tea and even brought me all the way to the lift! i felt like a VIP la. lolx. and the tax partner was really nice too. i think i'm starting to get used to the whole interview process, i actually quite enjoy it :) maybe i should just apply for more jobs, just so i can go for interviews, lolx.
After the interview, i went down to tanglin mall for my aa306 grp gathering!! we went down to oomphaticos, which is supposed to be inspired by Alice in Wonderland. i was expecting the furnitures to be quirkier but it was alright, there wasn't any black chandaliers as Sean described!! there was a very nice chandalier though. Arh. super disappointed. Mayb they changed the interior slightly since sean went there. But oh well, the restaurant was nice enough for a small gathering. the food was expensive though :S i felt like i went for fine dining cause the servings were sooo puny! and when we asked for recommendations, the waitress introduced us the most expensive dishes! duh. if we had money, we would have chosen the most expensive but obviously we don't, that's why we're asking for her recommendations!!! grrr.
Oysters, and my mushroom fiesta! that's not what it's called on the menu, but it's all mushrooms inside, shitake mushrooms(my fave), grilled tofu, other kjinds of mushroom and melted cheese on top. yums.
Me with my lovely ladies, tze wei and joyce!
My aa306 all girls group!! We struggled through the toughest accounting subject together!! if we can overcome aa306, we can overcome anything! after all, aa306 exam has the highest rate of mc takers in the history of nbs i think. haha.
From left to right: spinach pie and mushroom dish, containing three different kinds of mushrooms, which tasted abit weird though. especially the middle one which tasted sourish, i have no idea what sauce it was. but it was a very weird concoction. probably just not to my liking. but if you're adventurous and like fusion food, you could give it a try!
Finally, our desserts!! the buncha us are dessert fanatics, we've all got sweet taste buds. we ordered that expensive chocolate dish. no kidding. that was it's name. "That expensive chocolate dish". no doubt expensive considering the tiny portions :s it was good though, it's a mixture of 4 kinds of chocolate desserts that are made at 4 different temperatures (room temp, hot, cold, frozen). Quite an innovative idea. i really like the hot chocolate dish cause outside is a sponge chocolate layer and when u dip ur fork in, hot chocolate oozes out from within!! absolutely delectable! Then there was another pineapple dessert pudding. it was filled with fruit toppings. not too bad. but i'm not so much of a pudding person.
we chatted on and on till all the stalls at tanglin mall closed for the day and we were almost locked inside the building!! quite retarded. i don't understand why they'd lock up all the entrances when the restaurants are still running...
